The prelude to The Lord of the Rings trilogy, the Hobbit was the first book that launched Milddle Earth in the world view. Before Tolkien wrote the Silmarillion, he created this timeless children's story.
This is a good copy of the Hobbit. There's no dust jacket, but the cover (front, back, and spine) is in really solid shape (there's some slight discoloration in spots...see photos). The pages inside are in good shape (especially considering the vintage age of this classic story). There's no writing, hightlghting, etc. in the book. The outside of the pages (opposite the spine) has a small spot (
This copy is really just something to sit on the shelf of a Tolkien fan (or perhaps a fan of Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings or The Hobbit trilogys).
